South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has received the members of the Russian interagency group, which are in Tskhinval since November 7 to provide consultative and practical assistance to the people and state institutions of the Republic.
The head of state welcomed the guests and thanked them for the work done during the week of hard work.
"Our citizens always welcome our Russian friends who come to help the Republic to establish a peaceful life and further development. This work is a result of implementation of the agreements reached between the top leaders of our countries ", - said Tibilov.
He has noted with regret that over the period since the 2008 war, the rehabilitation process of South Ossetia has not been completed yet, the planned activities in this area have not been fully realized.
"However, today the situation is changing for the better, the new leadership of the Republic is aiming at creation and intends to achieve real positive results", - said the president.
Tibilov has added, that in the near future will be held a meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for Socio- Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia, where will be outlined the near-term trends for comprehensive development of Republic.
"After that will start the practical steps for implementing these plans, and the population will feel a real improvement of the living conditions," – emphasized the head of state.
Head of the Russian interagency group - Chief of Strategic Planning Border Service of the Russian Federation Grigory Ganovichev, in turn, expressed gratitude to the leadership and to the people of South Ossetia for the warm welcome and hospitality; he added that he had seen himself the positive changes in the Republic.
"I am confident that this process will continue, you have a professional team, we have seen that the leaders of the South Ossetian government have a responsible approach to their work and take care of the people. As for the problems, they can be resolved fully and I would like, on behalf of my leadership, to assure you that the Russian Federal Security Service will continue to provide comprehensive assistance to South Ossetia ", - said Ganovichev.
In conclusion, the head of the Russian delegation presented the president with symbolic gifts of the RF FSS. In turn, Tibilov gave the interagency group members the books about the culture of South Ossetia.
The Russian interagency group, consisting of experts from various Russian ministries and departments, during a week in South Ossetia arranged various events to provide consultative and practical assistance to the medical and educational institutions of the Republic, visited all the districts of South Ossetia, met with the residents of remote villages.
