Parliament of South Ossetia during today's presidium has approved the investment program to promote socio-economic development of the Republic for 2012-2013, approved at the eighth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic and social cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development of South Ossetia Inna Grunwald briefed deputies on the points of the program.
"The amount of the Investment program to date is 2,000,000,000 7,000,000 rubles. The Investment program for 2012-2013 has mainly included engineering infrastructure facilities, social services, the commissioning of which is scheduled for 2013-2014 ", - said Grunwald.
In the course of considering the Investment program MPs expressed their disagreement with the fact that the document had not included the construction of schools and kindergartens in the villages of Znaur district, the restoration of public housing damaged during the August war, the construction of small hydropower plants in Zonkar and other facilities.
Minister of Construction of South Ossetia Eduard Dzagoev has stressed that due to the reduction in funding the Investment program mainly included the facilities under construction. After a lengthy discussion, the Investment program to promote socio-economic development of the Republic for 2012-2013 was unanimously approved by deputies.
In the course of the Presidium of Parliament was also approved a bill on amendments to the state budget of the Republic relating to the implementation of the Investment program.
