On the stage of the Volkov Russian Academic Drama Theater in Yaroslavl the night before, the first performance of the artists of the South Ossetian State Drama Theater took place as part of the troupe's "Big Tour" in Russian cities.
The tour is organized by Rosconcert in accordance with the All-Russian Tour and Concert Plan of the Ministry of Culture of Russia. Financial support to the troupe of the South Ossetian State Drama Theater was also provided by the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov.
“We presented on the stage of the Volkov Academic Drama Theater a play "Kosta" by Roman Gabria. The performance impressed the audience, the artists were awarded well-deserved applause. Everything went on a high level, the guys well done,” said Tamerlan Dzudtsov, artistic director of the South Ossetian State Drama Theater, to the “Res” news agency.
According to him, the performance was broadcast live via YouTube.
“In addition, theater critics who attended the show will write about it. I think they will appreciate the director's work and the performance of the artists,” said the artistic director.
On October 30 and 31, the troupe will perform at the Lev Tolstoy Lipetsk State Academic Theater, performances of "Antigone" and "Kosta" will be presented, on November 2 and 3 the same performances will be shown on the stage of the A. Koltsov Voronezh Academic Drama Theater.
Antigone, a production by Ossetian director Tamerlan Dzudtsov, was first presented on the South Ossetian stage in 2017. At the international festival "Caucasian Chalk Circle" the performance was awarded several prizes, including for the best direction (Tamerlan Dzudtsov) Starring: People's Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Soslan Bibilov, Honored Artists of the Republic of South Ossetia Albina Khugaeva, Milena Sagirova, artists Zarina Bekoeva, Andrey Chochiev others.
The literary and musical performance "Kosta" (directed by Roman Gabria) was first presented on the South Ossetian stage at the end of 2019.
The protagonist of the production is represented by three artists at once - People's Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitry Parastaev, Eduard Gagloyev and Honored Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Batradz Kumaritov. Other roles in the play are performed by People's Artists of the Republic of South Ossetia Soslan Bibilov, Vasily Tekhov, Honored Artists Artur Gagloyev, Natia Chokheli, Bessarion Bitarov, Batradz Kumaritov, artists Zarina Bekoeva, Ramaz Elbakiev.
