Rector of the A. A. Tibilov South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev was awarded the Golden Pegasus of the World Art Committee.
As the IA “Res” has been informed by the press service of the university, the award was presented to Tedeev by the Vice-President of the World Art Committee, a member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Aues Betuganov.
“The delegation was on a two-day visit to the Republic, a working meeting was held with the rector of our university, after which a concert was organized with the participation of members of the delegation - representatives of the creative intelligentsia of the Kabardino-Balkaria and Chechen Republics Madina Mambetova, Juliet Mezova and Taisa Parsanova. The event was also attended by Head of State Anatoly Bibilov, who awarded the honored guest with the Order of Friendship,” the press service said.
Presenting the award to Vadim Tedeev, Aues Betuganov has noted that only 30 people in the world are the owners of the Golden Pegasus.
“It is awarded for outstanding contribution to the development of modern society, strengthening the unity and trust of the peoples of the world, affirming the high ideals of beauty and kindness. And this is all that we saw at the South Ossetian State University, because Vadim Botazovich is a person who is rooting for his work,” he said.
According to him, South Ossetia is an island of kindness, beautiful nature and talented people.
“And what we saw at the university simply delighted us, as for the museum of the university that we visited, not every capital of the Caucasus can boast of such a property today,” the President noted.
Vadim Tedeev thanked for the high appreciation of his work and assured that he would continue to do everything in his power, strengthening and developing friendship and cooperation between the South Ossetia State University and the World Art Committee.
