President Anatoly Bibilov has received a delegation of the Lugansk People's Republic, which arrived in the Republic of South Ossetia as international election observers, the press service of the head of state reports.
The delegation has included members of the People's Council of the LPR Pavel Pilavov and Zhanna Marfina.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy of the RSO Parliament Valery Kokoev.
Greeting the guests, Anatoly Bibilov thanked them for their visit to the Republic and conveyed his best wishes to the Head of the Lugansk People's Republic Leonid Pasechnik.
“First of all, I want to congratulate you on the great holiday - Victory Day. People who were brought up on the example of the courage and heroism of the Soviet people are well aware of the values that we adhere to and which are dear to us and are basic for us in the education of our youth.
Everything overshadows what is happening in Ukraine. After the collapse of the USSR, the Ukrainian authorities did not leave clear guidelines for their youth, on what traditions they should be brought up. This contributed to the fact that neo-Nazism was born in Ukraine. This is a great tragedy for all of us,” he said.
The President has also noted that since 2014, the guys from South Ossetia have been in the ranks of the defenders of Donbass.
“The Great Patriotic War is directly connected with the special military operation for denazification and demilitarization. And as our ancestors said: “Our cause is just, the enemy will be defeated, victory will be ours,” he said.
For his part, Pavel Pilavov thanked the head of the South Ossetian state for the warm welcome.
“We hope that the people of South Ossetia will make the right choice. We see how South Ossetia is developing, and we have no right to stop there,” he said, addressing the words of gratitude to the guys from South Ossetia for the help they provide to the peoples of the DPR and LPR.
Zhanna Marfina, in turn, expressed her gratitude to Anatoly Bibilov and all the people of South Ossetia for their tremendous support.
“I am grateful to you that you are with us in joy and in trouble. I never cease to admire the people of South Ossetia. I want to note the high level of the electoral process. The transparency you provide is commendable,” she stressed.
