On Thursday, in Tskhinval Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev met with the head of the main foreign policy department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie, Dmitry Palamarchuk, who led a delegation to South Ossetia to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the state independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation, according to the message published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Akhsar Dzhioev thanked the guests for their visit at such a difficult time for Pridnestrovie, emphasizing that the main issues today are maintaining peace and security in the region, and noting the importance of the negotiation process and the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester.
Dmitry Palamarchuk conveyed a congratulatory address to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on behalf of the PMR Foreign Ministry.
During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the state of the South Ossetian-Pridnestrovian relations, which are traditionally friendly, and some aspects of the regional agenda were also touched upon.
The participants of the meeting expressed confidence that the dialogue of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between South Ossetia and Pridnestrovie would continue to develop successfully, filled with new concrete content.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Official Representation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the RSO A.S. Pliev, head of the department for ensuring the work of foreign agencies and finances of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie I. N. Molchanova, as well as the head of the department for foreign policy relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia T. Ts. Dzhidzhoev.
