Products from South Ossetia won prestigious awards at the Prodexpo-2025 International Food Exhibition. This was reported to IA "Res" by the Republic's trade representative in Russia, Taimuraz Goginov.
According to him, products from the Subira AV cannery won a large number of awards.
"They received gold medals for apple-pumpkin fruit fudge and Tkemali sauce, as well as silver for apple fruit fudge A great achievement was the awarding of the Prodexpo Star to their white cherry jam with walnuts! This is a unique, handmade product, and I am very glad that the jury appreciated it," Goginov has shared.
The Ironsan winery also brilliantly represented South Ossetia, winning gold medals for its chacha and Tsard cognac. In addition, the dry white wine Tsard Pinot Grigio was awarded a diploma of the competition.
"The High-Mountain Kel Brewery pleased the tasting committee with its beer. Gold medals were awarded to the Iryston Lager Light and the dark beer Border Star Dark Export. The silver award was given to the light beer Alanova Lager Classic," the trade representative said.
In addition to successful participation in the competition, numerous meetings were held on the sidelines of the exhibition, promoting cooperation and expanding sales markets for the South Ossetian producers. Goginov has expressed confidence that success at the Prodexpo-2025 will become a powerful impetus for the further development of the food industry in South Ossetia.
