The performance of the State Ensemble "Simd" on the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow became the important milestone in the history of the collective, contributing to its further development, Sergei Kochiev, artistic director of the "Simd", told reporters.
The concert of the masters of arts of North and South Ossetia, dedicated to the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the annexation of Ossetia to Russia and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, was being held in the capital of the Russian Federation from October 9 to 15.
According to Kochiev, "Simd" performed on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater for the first time and this is a great promotion for the team. "The scale and importance of the concert held in Moscow cannot be overestimated. The event was attended by President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, Minister of Culture of the Republic Rada Dzagoeva, Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Sergey Menyailo, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matvienko, Maestro Valery Georgiev and other officials.
We are pleased that this opportunity has come true for us," the artistic director has stressed.
As noted by Kochiev, the concert program lasted more than three hours and united the state groups of South and North Ossetia - "Simd" and "Alan", the Moscow State Academic Group of the Gzhel Dance Theater, and many different collectives.
"The State Choir of the National Song under the President of South Ossetia and the Male Choir of the State Song and Dance Group "Simd" performed as a combined choir for the audience. Our team performed in four numbers. Separately, the artists of our group performed the "Ossetian dance", we also participated in the numbers "Kalinka" and "Lezginka". We performed in the prologue, where the story of the Nart hero, the heavenly blacksmith, was being realized and unfolded," he said.
According to the artistic director, the majestic dance "Simd" performed by 20 couples was presented on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, the soloists were the People's Artist of South Ossetia Inal Sanakoev and the Honored Artist of North Ossetia Maya Dzagoeva.
"It was very beautiful, it's a pity that we couldn't watch it from the auditorium," Kochiev said.
Sergey Kochiev has noted that the Simd started preparing for the event in two weeks.
