In 2024, the South Ossetian Emergencies Ministry continued to work on strengthening and developing cooperation with the colleagues from Russia, Abkhazia, and contacts were also maintained with the Emergencies Ministry of the Republic of Belarus. This was noted by First Deputy Head of the Emergencies Ministry, Atsamaz Bestauty, at the extended meeting of the board to summarize the results of the year.
According to him, as a result of the negotiations and meetings with the leadership and colleagues of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia, it was possible to achieve high efficiency of cooperation in key areas of activity of rescue agencies.
“I would like to note that we always find support and understanding from the leadership of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia,” he has emphasized.
Bestauty said that in January, the Emergencies Ministry team of South Ossetia had taken part in the competitions in fire-applied sports in the city of Bobruisk, Republic of Belarus.
"Our team has shown good results," he has noted. - In May, a delegation from our Ministry took part in the annual International Salon of Security Tools "Integrated Security-2024".
As part of the event, a meeting of the heads of the two emergency departments took place, where they were discussing current issues related to increasing the efficiency of the services, as well as prospects for developing cooperation," the Deputy Minister said.
According to him, in December, the Protocol to the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on the procedure and conditions for co-financing, at the expense of the Russian Federation, an increase in the salaries of employees of Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia was signed.
"The qualified personnel remain a priority issue for our Ministry, in connection with which seven cadets were sent to study at higher educational institutions of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in 2024. Today, 13 employees of the emergency department are undergoing training in the Russian academies," Bestauty has added.
