Plans for joint work with South Ossetia and Abkhazia for 2025 were discussed at the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Foreign Ministry, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

"A meeting was held between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman, as well as the head of the official representative office of South Ossetia in the Republic Vitaly Yankovsky.

Particular attention was paid to contacts along diplomatic lines and coordination of the activities of the foreign policy departments of the republics, as well as priority areas of interaction between the relevant authorities in the framework of the implementation of events planned for the first half of this year," the press service has noted.

Vitaly Ignatyev informed the representatives of Abkhazia and South Ossetia about the current situation in Transnistria in terms of overcoming the consequences of the energy crisis, as well as about the efforts made by the country's leadership to positively resolve the difficulties arisen.

"During the conversation, the guests noted the traditionally high level of cooperation between the fraternal republics. Speaking about the problem with the supply of natural gas to the republic, the diplomats emphasized the importance of the consolidation of the Transnistrian people, which allows them to courageously cope with all the challenges. Alexander Vataman and Vitaly Yankovsky expressed confidence in the earliest positive resolution of the crisis," the Foreign Ministry has noted.

Concluding the conversation, the parties agreed to maintain communication in all areas of mutual interest.
