The second round of presidential elections will be held in Abkhazia in two weeks, Dmitry Marshan, Chairman of the Central Election Commission, told journalists.
“None of the presidential candidates received the number of votes needed to be elected in the first round, so the repeat voting will be held. Candidates Badra Gunba and Adgur Ardzinba will take part in it,” he said.
The Central Election Commission of the Republic will announce preliminary results of the first round of voting on Sunday.
Representatives of the Central Election Commission and the Parliament of South Ossetia were among the observers of the elections in Abkhazia.
