The ICRC humanitarian activities in South Ossetia were discussed at a meeting between Murat Dzhioev and Carmen Echesarreta

Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev has received the newly appointed head of the representative office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of South Ossetia Carmen Echezarreta.

As noted by the Envoy`s Office, during the conversation, were discussed issues of the ICRC’s humanitarian activities in the current conditions in South Ossetia, especially in the areas bordering Georgia.

Another 13 tests for coronavirus showed a negative result in South Ossetia

The next group of South Ossetian citizens who arrived in the Republic 10 days ago was tested for coronavirus, they all showed a negative result, there are no cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic,” said Marina Kochieva, head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, to IA “Res”.

“On Saturday, tests were carried out in our laboratory for a third group of citizens who are quarantined for 10 days, which is 13 people who arrived from Russia on April 23. The test results are all negative,” Kochieva said.

Everyone had his own war, but it is one for all

We, Ossetians, are deservedly proud of the heroism of our countrymen, who showed great miracles of courage and resourcefulness, defending their homeland in the Great Patriotic War. We are proud of the number of Heroes of the USSR and awarded with state awards for their exploits. Like a balm for the soul of each of us are the words of General Tyulenev, that "the word =the Ossetian proudly sounded on all fronts" of the war.

The border of South Ossetia with Russia will remain closed until May 31

The government of South Ossetia on Thursday adopted a new resolution providing for the extension of the state border crossing procedure from April 10 through the multilateral checkpoint "Ruck" on the border with Russia until 23.59 minutesб May 31, 2020. Previously, the ban on crossing the state border through the checkpoint "Ruck" was valid until May 1.

The decision notes that all measures taken are subject to special circumstances and are exclusively temporary.
