The Ambassador of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Dmitry Medoev believes that the report shown by Georgia TV channel "Imedi" on an alleged invasion of Russian armed forces, which had provoked panic all around Georgia Saturday evening, should not be broadcast since it was a "plot" designed for a case of new military adventures of Tbilisi.
Certain political forces in Georgia, while observing the fatal policy carried out by president Saakashvili, sober-mindedly assess the situation in the country and its international position. Therefore, many oppositional leaders started to communicate with Russia in order to mitigate the current Georgian-Russian relations, stated the South Ossetian Foreign Minister commenting on the recent visit of Zurab Nogaideli, the leader of the movement "For Fair Georgia", to Moscow.

The RF government approved the draft Agreement with South Ossetia on Joint Military Base on the territory of South Ossetia. The Government decided to propose the RF President the Agreement for signing. The Agreement is concluded for 49 years with providing for its default prolongation for another 15 years.

As one of the members of the South Ossetian delegation David Sanakoev reported to RES Agency, representatives of South Ossetia should participate in the Georgian-Ossetian dialogue hosted by George Mason University. Council of Europe independent experts Bruce Pegg and Nicolas Sebire arrived in South Ossetia with a two-day visit. In Tskhinval, the experts are meeting representatives of law enforcement bodies of South Ossetia, South Ossetian citizens lately released from Georgian prisons – Lev Tekhov, Pavel Tekhov and Ahmed Kaziev. The experts are also meeting relatives of the abducted and missing citizens of South Ossetia.
