Operative group of the Ministry of Interior of the RSO, which was investigating the fact of abduction and beating on September 22 the resident of an Ossetian village Pris, was attacked by the Georgian Special forces. As a result of the firing two officers of the Ministry of Interior of the RSO Tedeev Atsamaz Zaurovich – 32 years and Kokoev Akhsar Georgievich – 37 years were wounded.
The Head of the Shida Kartly police, acknowledging the fact of attack, claims to have nothing to do with that incident. The division that fired the militiamen is controlled by another department.
It should be noted that despite the statement on devotion to peaceful conflict resolution, the Georgian side continues to provoke the Ossetian population for retaliatory actions.
Increase of Georgian peacekeeping contingent in village Eredvi from 50 to 100 and in Kekhvi from 37 to 100 did not stabilize the situation.
Contrary to reached agreements the Georgian side unilaterally continues to increase the number of check points in the conflict zone and carry out subversive activities through the special forces.
The Georgian peacekeepers that are supposed to control the situation in their zone of responsibility are in reality covering the special services acting to destabilize the situation.
