Yesterday late in the evening a telephone conversation took place between President of Abkhazia and the newly elected President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity. Sergey Bagapsh congratulated his South Ossetian colleague and the Ossetian people with the convincing victory at the elections and the referendum.
”Having chosen a noble path to freedom and independence, overcoming the difficulties Republic of South Ossetia is going towards its goal, an important part of which is strengthen ties with the world. People of the Republic of Abkhazia have the warmest feelings towards the people of South Ossetia. The tasks of our young states are similar and for us it is very important to improve further ties of friendship between the people of Abkhazia and South Ossetia”, said Sergey Bagapsh.
Eduard Kokoity and people of Ossetia were also congratulated by the President of Karachaevo-Circassia Mustafa Badtyev.
