On 20 July approximately at 23:00 the Georgian side took four citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia hostage. As RSO MIA press service has informed they were at their relatives in Georgian town Gori and were detained on their way back.
According to Georgian side the hostages have been captured after detention of Georgian citizen Goginashvili Taimuraz, an inhabitant of Nikozi village, suspected in murders of ethnic Ossetians. Presently the roads are closed for security reasons. OSCE Mission was involved in hostage issue solving.
