The first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Commission of the Russian Federation Federal Meeting Alexander Pochinok has visited a number of the restored facilities in South Ossetia within the frames of the visit in the International youth forum: «South Ossetia: peace and stability in the Caucasus».
The Russian visitor was accompanied by the organizer of the youth forum, the Counselor of the President of the RSO Alexander Kazak and the Republic officials. Alexander Pochinok has also visited the department of the FSB Boundary management of Russia in the village Dmenis of Tshkinvalskiy region in the RSO, the 4th military base of the Russian Federation deployed in the RSO, and also the peacemakers building, destroyed during the Georgian aggression in August, 2008. In his interview to journalists he has said, that he is under pleasant impression of the Republic rehabilitation process. «It impresses all. I was glad to see the perfectly organized military camp of the frontier guards, the highest level stadium, the fine kindergarten, a lot of constructed facilities, - Pochinok has noted . - all is under construction of fine town convenient for life». As regards the international forum in South Ossetia, the Deputy Chairman has noticed that the forum is a platform of discussions where people find common language and start to understand each other. «The role of youth in supporting peace and stability in the Caucasus is decisive - Pochinok has underlined. - the senior generation was at war, it has created huge problems, and the youth has to learn living in peace». According to Pochinok, the youth`s task is to make the Caucasus prosperous, as in the peace times.
