Presidential candidates of South Ossetia have appealed to the CEC Chairman Bella Plieva with the request to open polling stations in the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania on the polling day of the presidential election on November 13.
It`s said in the appeal: "We, the presidential candidates of South Ossetia, governed by the Constitutional Law " On elections of President in South Ossetia", "On fundamental guarantees of electoral rights for participating in referendum of the citizens of South Ossetia", considering the will of the citizens of South Ossetia, living in the Russian Federation and willing to realize their constitutional rights, are appealing to you to provide them with this right and open the polling stations in the territory of North Ossetia - Alania in accordance with article 22 of the Constitutional Law "On guarantees of electoral rights and right for participating in referendum of the citizens of South Ossetia" and article 9 of the Constitutional Law "On elections of the President of South Ossetia." We also ask you to provide a copy of the minutes of the Central Executive Committee meeting, where the decision on additional polling stations in the village of Upper Ruck instead of polling stations in the territory of North Ossetia - Alania, Russian Federation was taken." The document was signed by the RSO presidential candidates: Merab Chigoev, Igor Alborov, Inal Bazzaev, Dzhemal Dzhigkaev, Alla Dzhioeva, Alan Pliev, Eduard Gabaraev, Sergey Bitiev and Alan Kochiev. These candidates have also asked the CEC to make several additions to the procedure of voting in the presidential elections.
