The Scythian-Alan community in Crimea (Ukraine) appealed to the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov for assistance in restoration of historical monuments in the Crimea, connected with the historical legacy of the ancestors of the Ossetians.
This has been said IA "Res" by the chairman of the community Kchariton Khachirov. According to him, members of the community hope that the leadership of South Ossetia will turn to the authorities of Ukraine to transfer sponsorship over the Scythian and Alan monuments to the Ossetian Diaspora.
"There are many our historical monuments in the Crimea - Scythian Naples, Alanian monastery Chufut- Calais, Alanian fortress and many others. All of them are in poor condition, they need to be restored, and we have to take care of them. But local authorities do not pay enough attention to this problem, "- said Khachirov.
He assured that by taking a patronage, the community would restore the monuments and would maintain them in good condition.
"They also appealed to the head of North Ossetia - Alania Taimuraz Mamsurov and to social organization '' The Supreme Council of the Ossetians.'' There are about 1,000 members in our community, and our task is to preserve the historical heritage of our nation ", - said Khachirov.
Members of the community, he added, honor Ossetian customs and traditions, celebrate all the national and religious holidays, anniversaries.
"In addition, at our request, local television regularly shows the Ossetian songs and dances. We also plan to organize clubs, where our children would be able to learn their native language. In the near future we are going to celebrate the 2700th anniversary of the Scythians in the Crimea "- he said.
According to Khachirov, the community is planning to build a small hotel specially for residents of Ossetia, wishing to visit the Crimea.
