Students of the South Ossetian State University have participated in the youth-Russian Educational Forum "Seliger-2012". As IA "Res" has been informed by one of the forum participants Alexander Kumaritov, the trip to the forum was organized with the assistance of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of South Ossetia and the mission of the Russian Cooperation in South Ossetia.
"The forum was attended by about 20,000 young people from more than 80 Russian regions and 94 countries around the world. Our group consisted of representatives of Syria, Italy, India, Sri Lanka and China. In all, there were10 sessions, the main task was to establish relations between the young people from around the world, "- said Kumaritov.
He noted that the program of the forum was very rich and informative.
"It was quite interesting, as we were given lectures in English. Each program consisted of five lectures, after which the participants of the forum were given the opportunity to participate in the cultural, educational and sporting events ", - said Kumaritov.
According to him, at the forum was also held a competition of the youth projects; he also presented the project "The Clean Republic."
"There is a fund ''The National Perspective'', which holds the projects competition. The best projects are supported by the forum participants and receive grants. It was conducted a session –
''The Technology of Good '', where was presented my project. The grant will be given a little bit later, but by that time I must form a command and review the project together with the Committee on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism of South Ossetia "- he said.
Kumaritov has added that for searching and supporting the talented and initiative people, they are going to cooperate with the mission of the Russian Cooperation and the Ministry of Education and the Committee on Youth Affairs of South Ossetia.
"This year only two representatives of South Ossetia participated in the forum, but it's not enough for the delegation. In the future we intend to work hard to send to the forum at least 10 people. We will look for the talented and active young people who are ready to present our Republic with dignity, - he said. - We will also cooperate with the North-Ossetian Committee on Youth Affairs. We would like our young people to participate more actively in forums and events that take place in North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, Dagestan, etc. I think that these lectures will contribute to the realization of their projects. "
