A Centre of public access to Legal Information of the Russian Federation has opened at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in the capital of South Ossetia.
A Head of the Mission of the Russian Cooperation in South Ossetia Mikhail Stepanov thanked all the participants and said that the opening of the Public Access to Legal Information of the Russian Federation would become a new chapter in the development of business and cultural ties between Russia and South Ossetia.
"We hope that the opening of the Centre will raise a new level of the public knowledge about legal structure of the Russian Federation", - he said.
Officers of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation introduced the history and the main directions of development of the State system of legal information with the features and content of data collection of the informational-legal system "Legislation of Russia" and the issues of functioning of "official portal of legal information."
"Legal Information system means creation of favorable conditions for full satisfaction of legal information needs of public authorities, legal persons and individuals," - said the representative of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
According to him, about 120 thousand centers have been opened around the world. The Russian Federal Security Service officer has noted that the information at the Centre will be automatically updated twice a week.
The opening ceremony was attended by the staff of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Ossetia, the staff of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, representatives of the Russian FSS Border Control Agency, South Ossetian Foreign Minister David Sanakoev, the representatives of the South Ossetian State University, named after A.A. Tibilov and others.
The event ended with a concert.
It should be reminded, that the Mission of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Russian Cooperation) has been functioning in Tskhinval since September 6, 2010. The main tasks of the Russian Cooperation Mission in the Republic of South Ossetia is the development of cultural, humanitarian, educational, scientific, technological and information ties between Russia and South Ossetia, cultural and educational activities of the Russian compatriots living in the Republic, the development of contacts between the international, regional and national organizations.
