South Ossetia delegation has paid a visit to Abkhazia, where acquainted itself with the border crossing regime in Gali district of the Republic.
As IA "Res" has been reported by the head of the delegation, Security Council Secretary Anatoly Pliev, "we need to address the issues of crossing the state border in Leningor district by citizens of South Ossetia and Georgia. Our Abkhazian brothers have twenty-year experience in solving a similar problem, "- said Pliev.
According to him, during his visit to Abkhazia the South Ossetian delegation members had the opportunity to get acquainted with the principles of the border crossing in Gali district of Abkhazia, see the practical implementation of this procedure.
"We visited Gali district, saw how the work is organized, learned all the legal documents, regulating the border crossing" - continued the official.
He has noted that there are some differences between the border crossing regime of South Ossetia and Abkhazia with regard to crossing the border of Georgia.
However, according to Pliev, in South Ossetia can be used the Abkhazian experience of crossing the state border with Georgia, adapted to the local circumstances.
"Taking into account the nature and specific situation in Leningor district we plan to adapt and implement the Abkhazian experience of crossing the Abkhaz-Georgian border. In the coming days we will proceed to develop the appropriate regulations "- added Pliev.
Security Council Secretary said that during his visit to Abkhazia, South Ossetian delegation members had met with President of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab, Security Council Secretary Stanislav Lakoba and the leadership of Gali district.
"We were satisfied with the results of the trip - a spokesman said. – In Abkhazia we were given a hearty welcome. After the discussion of the border crossing issues with Ankvab he told us about the socio-economic situation in Abkhazia and the measures taken to solve the tasks facing the Abkhazian state. We, in turn, informed him about the process of rehabilitation and new construction, as well as the economic development of South Ossetia. "
South Ossetian delegation has also included a head of the Leningor district administration of the RSO Jemal Dzhigkaev and Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Khoch Gagloyty.
