April 23, Deputy Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia Khokh Gagloyty received representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, headed by the head of the ICRC in South Ossetia Jan Mishkots.
During the meeting was introduced a new employee of the Mission Okivari Ikumi, who had replaced Chingiz Rayimbekov. Ms. Ikumi Okivari will focus on interaction with the families of the missing, as well as the coordination of organizational order of meetings of the tripartite mechanism to search for the missing.
Khokh Gagloyty welcomed Ikumi Okivari and thanked Chingiz Rayimbekov for his activities on interaction with relatives and families of the missing citizens of South Ossetia.
He also thanked the Red Cross mission in South Ossetia for participation in determining the fate of the missing citizens of South Ossetia, as well as the targeted assistance to families of the missing persons, victims of the aggression of Georgia in 2008 and armed conflict in 1991-1992.
The sides reaffirmed their readiness for further cooperation and collaboration in the process to clarify the fate of the missing citizens of South Ossetia.
The meeting was also attended by the RSO Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights Inal Tasoev.
