On September 11, 2017, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Republic of South Ossetia on issues of post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev received the head of the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of South Ossetia Farrukh Islomov
According to the press service of the presidential envoy, "during the conversation, were discussed the activities of the ICRC on assistance in resolving the problems of post-conflict settlement. Murat Dzhioev has noted that the humanitarian projects of the ICRC to provide support to the residents of the villages of South Ossetia, who suffered during the 2008 war, restoration of family ties, search for missing persons and providing assistance to their relatives, have a beneficial effect on the solution of the existing problems".
They have noted that both sides expressed a wish for further constructive cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by members of the ICRC Office Julia Knittel and Marina Tedety.
