South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev conducted a series of meetings within the framework of the Pacific-Far Eastern tour aimed at expanding contacts of South Ossetian diplomacy in this region of the world.
In the capital of the Republic of Korea, Seoul, Dmitry Medoev met with representatives of the South Korean business community, in particular, with Mr. Mun, the president of the South Korean company "Juan", with which in 2012 had been signed a protocol on the parties' intentions on cooperation in the field of communications and telecommunications development in the territory of South Ossetia.
As reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry, during the meeting there were discussed prospective directions of economic cooperation, creating favorable conditions for developing business relations, the possibility of implementing joint projects, taking into account bilateral interests.
After the talks in Korea, it was held a meeting between the Foreign Minister of South Ossetia and the mayor of Vladivostok Mr. Verkeenko, during which the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing joint humanitarian projects, including for young people. It was also noted the expediency of signing a memorandum on cooperation between South Ossetia and Vladivostok.
