Issues related to the possible opening of transit through the territory of South Ossetia and the security of the border areas of the Republic were the subject of discussion during the inspection of President Anatoly Bibilov and Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Rashid Nurgaliev.
According to the press service of the head of state, Anatoly Bibilov and Rashid Nurgaliyev inspected the area in Tskhinval district, where in case of opening transit through South Ossetia, could be built a bypass for heavy vehicles.
Then the motorcade went to the Zonkar reservoir, having inspected the artificial reservoir dam. President of South Ossetia and Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation discussed the safety of the construction.
The final destination was Leningor district of the Republic. Anatoly Bibilov and Rashid Nurgaliyev inspected the facilities built within the framework of the Investment Program, in particular, the already functioning kindergarten No. 1 in the settlement of Leningor and the school, which will be put into operation by the beginning of the new school year.
The inspection ended with a meeting, in the course of which were discussed security issues of the border territories of South Ossetia.
The Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, the head of the Republic's Interior Ministry Igor Naniev, the acting Defense Minister Ibrahim Gasseev and other officials also took part in the inspection trip.
