President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, received a delegation of Nagorno-Karabakh, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Masis Mayilyan.
The head of state noted the importance of the Agreement signed today between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and Artsakh.
“The signing of this official document says that fruitful work is being conducted in the foreign political life of our republics. This step once again underlines the relations that are appreciated by both the people of the Republic of South Ossetia and the people of the Artsakh Republic.”
According to the President, there is a basis for fruitful cooperation between the two countries, there are opportunities for expanding cooperation in all areas of life in South Ossetia and Artsakh.
The head of state has also noted that people of South Ossetia are closely following the events taking place in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“We really want peace, tranquility and development to reign on the land of Artsakh. Taking into account the love of your people for work, the Fatherland, there are all grounds for the Republic to prosper,” the President said, addressing the members of the delegation.
Masis Mailyan, in turn, also noted the importance of the Agreement signed between the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries, and also expressed gratitude to the head of state for the warm welcome.
“Thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality,” said the Minister. We always feel ourselves here as at home.”
Mailyan also drew attention to the changes in the Republic in a positive direction.
“Today we see the development of the Republic: new roads, buildings, infrastructure facilities. This is done in the fraternal republic for our brothers and sisters - the Ossetians and the Armenians who live here. Our compatriots do not forget their roots and show themselves as true patriots of the Republic of South Ossetia, which cannot but please us.”
At the end of the meeting, Artsakh’s Foreign Minister presented Anatoly Bibilov a carpet - a memorable gift from the President of Nagorno-Karabakh Bako Sahakyan. The head of state, in turn, presented the members of the delegation with silver coins depicting the holy places of Ossetia and a photo album of sights of the Republic.
