President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov met in Moscow with members of the Council of the Moscow Ossetian community. At the meeting, they talked about culture, the spiritual sphere, youth and plans for the future. The meeting was held in the restaurant "House of Actors", which is led by Vadim Baroev, according to the website of the Moscow community.
Anatoly Bibilov has emphasized that he considers one of the most important issues of culture and spiritual development, and noted the work of public organizations in this direction.
“The task of the Moscow community is not only to unite the Ossetians who live here in the capital, but also those Ossetians who live in other regions of Russia. The Moscow community should become the center of attraction for all our countrymen, regardless of where they live,” Bibilov said.
The Chairman of the Moscow Ossetian Community Alan Abaev has noted that the work in this direction is underway and there are big plans to create a major national cultural autonomy. He also spoke about close cooperation with the Moscow authorities and his intention to revive the “Farn” festival of national culture, which was successfully held in Moscow in 2014.
Father Vyacheslav (Dzheyranov), the dean of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Kulishki, spoke about the social mission of the parish - with the support of the church, 15 people in need receive a hot lunch every day and are provided with material support. He has also expressed concern that part of the Ossetian public is negatively opposed to Orthodoxy and contrasts it with the traditional faith.
“I am an Orthodox Christian to the core,” Bibilov replied. - I also consider such moods in society alarming. We must remember that it was the Orthodox faith that brought to Ossetia, in both its parts, culture, education, enlightenment”
The meeting was held in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Anatoly Bibilov met each participant in the meeting personally, listened to words of support, thanks, plans for the future.
“I want to assure you that I am always close to the entire Ossetian community and to each of its representatives,” Bibilov concluded.
