Servicemen of the Western Military District have started deploying a mobile multidisciplinary hospital in South Ossetia, the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
The Tskhinval stadium will be equipped with a reception and sorting, hospital and infectious diseases, sanitary and epidemiological departments, as well as an anesthesiology and resuscitation department, a laboratory for research and diagnostics of analyzes and samples.
The hospital's medical personnel have the most modern medical equipment - ventilators, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
“The mobile hospital was chosen due to our experience with coronavirus infection. Our hospital was in the Republic of Dagestan.
The work of our doctors and medical staff was highly appreciated. Many of us have undergone special retraining in the profile of the treatment of a new coronavirus infection” explained captain Dmitry Yashin, resident doctor of the department of anesthesiology and intensive care of the mobile hospital
Earlier, the personnel of a mobile multidisciplinary hospital of one of the formations of the Western Military District, having made a march on their own on the regular equipment from Alabino near Moscow with a length of about 2,000 kilometers, arrived in the city of Tskhinval, where they began to deploy forces and means to help the local population in the fight against the spread of COVID -19.
On October 22, by decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Defense Minister of the Russian Federation, General of the Army S.K. Shoigu, set the task of promptly deploying a multifunctional mobile hospital in South Ossetia to assist the population of the Republic in treatment of the new coronavirus infection.
