President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov met with the head of the Traumatology Department of the Clinical Hospital of the Republic of Dagestan Ratmir Abdusalamov, who had arrived with his team in Tskhinval for high-tech hip replacement surgery, the press service of the head of state reported.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Health and Social Development of the RSO Soslan Naniev.
The Head of State thanked Ratmir Abdusalamov and in his person all the invited specialists from the Republic of Dagestan for the work done.
“You performed four operations in one day, this gives people the opportunity to be healthy and not feel the discomfort associated with such ailments. The experience and knowledge that you shared with your South Ossetian colleagues give us confidence that medicine in South Ossetia is moving forward and continuously developing.
I would also like to note that for the first time in South Ossetia, on the basis of the RMMC, an end prosthetics operation was performed, which cannot but please us for our fellow citizens, who will be able to get on their feet today,” he said.
Anatoly Bibilov has also noted that specialists from South Ossetia received certain qualifications, thanks to which they will soon be able to independently carry out joint replacement.
It should be noted that Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of South Ossetia sent a traumatologist-orthopedist of the Traumatology Department of the RMMC Konstantin Servetnik to the Center for Endo prosthetics of the Republic of Dagestan, where he was trained in performing end prosthetics of large hip joints.
In turn, Ratmir Abdusalamov thanked Anatoly Bibilov for the warm welcome, and has also noted that the end prosthetics operation improves the patient's quality of life.
“A healthy state begins with the health of citizens and society. Endo prosthetics surgery is aimed at improving the patient's quality of life. If there was a disability before the operation, then after the disabilityit is removed,” he said.
Ratmir Abdusalamov has noted that he was pleasantly surprised by the quality of equipment in the South Ossetian hospital.
“Our visit is based on friendly principles. We can come and help you free of charge. Our department is the most trained in this area. I was delighted with the quality of operating rooms, which are in no way inferior to European ones, I was also pleasantly surprised by the well-coordinated work of the local doctors, they are technically very equipped.
The doctors from my team, who returned from Turkey after completing a paid internship in a large private clinic, have also noted that it is much better here,” he said.
The President, for his part, has stressed that the growth of the level of medicine in the Republic of South Ossetia is directly related to Minister of Health and Social Development Soslan Naniev.
“I am grateful to Soslan Naniev for his great contribution to the development of healthcare. The fact that such serious events are taking place in our republic and our medicine is developing so rapidly is his merit. He pays great attention to patients of different categories.
On November 21, children with special needs were sent to Crimea on vacation. Soslan Naniev is decisively changing and developing all areas of health care,” Anatoly Bibilov said.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of state presented Ratmir Abdusalamov with a memorable gift.
