President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev hasmet with Vice-President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Gunba, who arrived in Tskhinval to attend the inauguration ceremony of the elected President of the Republic, the press service of the head of state reports.
Thanking the guest for the visit, Alan Gagloev expressed hope for the further development of bilateral relations with fraternal Abkhazia.
“I want to convey to the Abkhazian people, headed by President Aslan Georgievich Bzhaniya, words of support and best wishes for peace and prosperity. I hope that we will continue to raise the level of our interaction,” the head of state said.
In turn, Badra Gunba thanked Alan Gagloev for the warm welcome and conveyed an invitation from the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya to visit Sukhum.
“I would like to congratulate you on your assumption of the office of President of the Republic of South Ossetia and wish you peace and prosperity.
South Ossetia and Abkhazia are republics with the same fate. And all the past that unites us will have influence on our future. We will be moving forward shoulder to shoulder, united, we will achieve new heights,” he said.
