In the near future, an agreement will be signed between the ministries of culture of the two parts of Ossetia, - Rada Dzagoeva, Minister of Culture of South Ossetia, commented to IA “Res” on the results of the meeting held on Friday in Vladikavkaz with the Minister of Culture of North Ossetia-Alania Eduard Galazov.
“Currently, Ministry of Culture of North Ossetia is preparing a large-scale celebration - the 1100th anniversary of the Baptism of Alania. This is our common holiday; we discussed the participation of South Ossetia in the festive events. Upon their completion, an agreement on cultural cooperation will be signed,” the Minister said.
According to her, in the conversation between the heads of the two departments, the emphasis was placed on the unity of the cultural space of the two parts of Ossetia.
“Ossetian culture has never been divided into northern and southern even during periods of territorial and political division. We have common values, a common cultural code, cultural integration of outstanding creative figures, their intra-Ossetian migration has always been organic, allowing us to create a common Ossetian professional culture. Unfortunately, in recent years, these processes have not been as intensive as they were throughout the twentieth century, when, in principle, the Ossetian professional culture was being created. With Minister Galazov, it was about giving dynamics to the integration cultural processes,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
According to Dzagoeva, agreements were reached on tours of theaters, ensembles, creative groups, participation of representatives of South Ossetia in training programs for cultural figures in the North, inviting individual specialists to work with еру South Ossetian groups, and joint cultural projects.
“At the end of September, the creative teams of North Ossetia, together with ours, will perform in the districts of our Republic. That is, not in the capital, according to tradition, but in the districts, which has not been for a very long time," the minister shared her plans.,” the Minister shared her plans.
According to her, similar tours are planned in the North for South Ossetian creative teams in the future.
