South Ossetia sent 14 trucks with humanitarian aid to the participants of the military special operation in Ukraine during the entire period, Alan Pliev, the aide to the President of South Ossetia, told RIA Novosti.

"Fourteen cars were sent with humanitarian aid, which was helped by residents of the entire South Ossetia, for volunteers from South Ossetia and the 4th Guards military base of the RF Armed Forces, which is stationed in the Republic. The President personally visited Donbass at the end of last year and also delivered humanitarian cargo "We have always been keeping in touch with our fighters, we ask what is needed. By winter, we bought, for example, a winter uniform, now we have ordered a spring-autumn one," Pliev said.

Earlier, President of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev, proposed the creation of a public organization in the Republic to help the participants in the special military operation in Ukraine and their families. In February, Gagloev signed a decree on measures to support participants in the Russian special military operation in Ukraine and their families.

Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years." For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out "demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine", to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for "bloody crimes against civilians" in the Donbass.
