Prime Minister of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev has met with the delegation of the Chechen Republic, which arrived in Tskhinval to celebrate the Days of Chechen Culture.
The head of government greeted the guests, noting that the cultural event began with a wonderful performance and the South Ossetian audience watched the actors' enchanting play.
“I am glad to welcome you to South Ossetia. Yesterday we started the days of Chechen culture with a wonderful performance. The acting is mesmerizing. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the performance. I would like to express my gratitude to the leadership of the Chechen Republic for organizing this wonderful festival, as well as to the Ministry of Culture for the development of interregional relations between our republics. I think the bridge has been laid and every time it will be getting closer,” said Dzhussoev.
Dzhussoev has noted that it is possible to develop relations with the Chechen Republic not only through the Ministry of Culture, but also in other areas.
First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Chechen Republic Maret Baysarova has noted that tickets for concerts were sold out immediately, which is good news.
Baisarova also invited the Prime Minister to the days of culture of South Ossetia in the Chechen Republic.
“At the meeting with the Minister of Culture, we agreed that we are waiting for you in the Chechen Republic, in the city of Grozny, for the Days of Culture of South Ossetia. We will be glad to see you. Yesterday we were told that tickets for concerts in South Ossetia were bought immediately and even asked to repeat the concert, and this makes us very happy,” she said.
Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Rada Dzagoeva has noted that the culture of the Chechen Republic goes beyond the borders of their republic and finds a lively response in the hearts of other peoples.
“It is very important that in today's difficult time for the Russian Federation, of which the Chechen Republic is a part, culture, nevertheless, continues to live and develop. You yourself witnessed how the South Ossetian audience received you yesterday, and I hope that tonight will turn out to be even warmer,” the Minister said.
Dzagoeva has noted that South Ossetia has long-standing and warm relations with the Chechen Republic.
“I know that in Chechnya there are honored artists of South Ossetia, and we have honored artists of the Chechen Republic. Therefore, we will probably develop and strengthen our cultural ties even more. In May, South Ossetia will also carry a rich and interesting cultural program and present it to the Chechen audience. Thank you for your visit and for such an interesting program. The Days of Chechen culture are being held here for the first time, therefore, without exaggeration, this is a great cultural event in the life of South Ossetia,” she stressed.
Director of the Department of Culture of the Czech Republic Yakub Mallaev, on behalf of the head of the Ministry of Culture of Chechnya Aishat Kadyrova, who, according to him, was the initiator of this project, expressed gratitude for the attention and warm welcome.
“Today, being in another republic, we did not feel for a moment that we were somewhere far from home. The people who meet with us are glad to see us, they warmly welcome us. Undoubtedly, the experience between the Chechen Republic and South Ossetia began long before our arrival. Representatives of your republic, both cultural and sports have been to Chechnya more than once, took part in various events and showed very good results,” Malaev said.
The meeting was also attended by Assistant Minister of Culture of the Chechen Republic Milana Zubayrayeva.
At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister of South Ossetia presented the guests with memorable gifts.
