Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in the Republic of Turkey Burkhan Khosity took part in the meeting of the "Club of Friends of Russia" in Istanbul at the invitation of the Consul General of Russia in Istanbul Andrey Buravov.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, the event was also attended by the Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey Ibrahim Avidzba and the Chairman of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey Murat Makharia, as well as Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Alexei Shved.
Andrey Buravov noted that the project of the "Club of Friends of Russia" in the face of pressure from the West on Russia is designed to demonstrate the unity of the cultural space and international cooperation, as well as to strengthen partnership with Turkey.
The "Club of Friends of Russia" was created on the initiative of the United Russia party in order to popularize Russian culture and maintain contacts between peoples. It is supported by the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian political and public organizations.
