South Ossetia will always be sincerely grateful to Comandante Daniel Ortega and the entire Nicaraguan people for their invaluable support, for their noble determination to recognize the country as a free independent state. This is stated in the congratulatory message of the Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution.
"The victory of the Sandinista People's Revolution was the result of a long and bloody struggle of the patriots of their country and the supporters of the idea of justice and freedom - the legendary national heroes of Latin America, and, undoubtedly, is the most important event that determined the further vector of development of the Nicaraguan statehood," the message published on the official website of the Foreign Ministry reads.
Akhsar Dzhioev also sent a congratulatory message to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nicaragua to South Ossetia Alba Azucsena Torres Mejia.
