On June 6, a 30-year-old Georgian citizen Ivan Iluridze was detained by the South Ossetian border guards for illegally crossing the state border of South Ossetia, the State Security Committee reports in its telegram channel.
“Iluridze deliberately violated the South Ossetian-Georgian border in the vicinity of the village of Akhmadz, Leningor district. On September 4, the Leningor district court found him guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal crossing of the state border” with a sentence of six months imprisonment freedom in a general regime correctional colony,” the message says.
On October 27, due to the expiration of the sentence, the offender was released and handed over to the Georgian side in accordance with the established procedure.
