A meeting took place in Moscow between Ambassador of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, Znaur Gassiev, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Mikhail Galuzin. This was reported by the press service of the Republican Embassy in the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the topical issue for South Ossetia on the implementation of the Agreement “On the Settlement of Issues of Dual Citizenship.” This Agreement addresses the issues of dual citizenship and determines the access of citizens of our states to social security, education, and medical care in accordance with the legislation of the party in whose territory they permanently reside.
Gassiev and Galuzin also summed up the results of bilateral cooperation last year and discussed promising areas of allied cooperation in accordance with the tasks set by the heads of the two states.
Galuzin expressed confidence that the issue would be resolved soon and conveyed the Russian side’s gratitude to its South Ossetian friends for their support and humanitarian assistance within the framework of the special military operation.
Gassiev thanked Galuzin for the comprehensive support provided by the Russian Foreign Ministry to South Ossetia.
