Crimea plans to organize supplies to the peninsula of a number of goods and products from South Ossetia, including beer brewed on high-mountain water. Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea, permanent representative of the Republic to President of the Russian Federation, Georgy Muradov, spoke about this following the meeting with the delegation of the South Ossetian government in Simferopol.
“Everyone knows that the high-mountain South Ossetian water is the best. This water makes beer better than the German beer, because the water is of high quality. And soon South Ossetian beer will enter our Crimean market,” Muradov told RIA Novosti Crimea.
According to Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea, South Ossetia also produces other products that are of interest to Crimea. Including basalt fiber, which is created from basalt rocks by melting them and converting the melt into fibers. It is used in thermal insulation and fire protection of residential buildings and industrial buildings, in the manufacture of air and water purification filters and other areas.
In addition, the so-called serpentinite flour is produced in South Ossetia, which helps eliminate soil acidification and restore their fertility. For Crimea, where large areas have been subjected to such impacts and have fallen out of agricultural use, supplies of these products will be relevant, Muradov is sure.
A delegation of the South Ossetian government is on a working visit to Crimea. On Friday, the parties signed a regulation on the working group on the implementation of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Crimea and the government of South Ossetia on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, as well as the protocol of the meeting of the joint working group on the implementation of the Agreement.
The parties discussed the entire range of issues of cooperation and agreed to identify specific lists of goods that the republics can provide to each other, what opportunities there are for increasing mutual trade turnover, as well as developing cooperation in the field of education and science.
