Russia continued to provide assistance to the Abkhaz and South Ossetian friends in state building, ensuring security, socio-economic development and expanding international relations, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova noted, commenting on the results of the development of relations with the two republics in 2023.
“In the spirit of true alliance, the young Transcaucasian republics have consistently supported the special military operation. Local volunteers are fighting shoulder to shoulder with Russian military personnel, Sukhum and Tskhinval regularly send humanitarian aid to Donbass,” Zakharova said in the commentary published on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
