South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev and Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Russia Bashar al-Jaafari visited the A.A. Tibilov South Ossetian State University.
"During the meeting with Rector of the South Ossetian State University.Vadim Tedeev, in particular, possible areas of cooperation between the South Ossetian State University and the universities in the Syrian Arab Republic were discussed," the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry reported.
After the official part of the meeting, the Rector gave the guests a tour of the University.
The Foreign Minister and the Syrian Ambassador laid flowers at the memorial complex to the "Defenders of South Ossetia" in Tskhinval.
Bashar al-Jaafari arrived at the head of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic in Tskhinval to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of South Ossetia.
