Speaker of Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Margiev expressed words of support to Speaker of the People's Assembly - Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia Lasha Ashuba in connection with the next anniversary of the Lata tragedy.
"On behalf of Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia and on my own behalf, I convey to you and the entire Abkhaz people the words of solidarity and support on this memorable day.
The Lata tragedy is one of the most mournful dates in the modern history of Abkhazia. Then, the peaceful citizens of Abkhazia, including children and women, died. Years will pass, but the pain and grief for the victims of that terrible tragedy will forever remain in the memory of the Abkhaz people," the text of condolences reads.
The Speaker has noted that people of South Ossetia are sharing the pain and sorrow of this terrible tragedy and convey the words of sympathy and support to the brotherly Abkhaz people.
