New equipment was delivered to the Alanian Stone processing plant in South Ossetia.

As the head of the workshop, the invited specialist Alan Abaev, told IA “Res”, the new machines will allow the enterprise to reach a qualitatively new level of production.

According to him, the equipment includes various machines: single-rope and multi-rope, a multifunctional polishing unit, tumbling machines, etc.

“After accepting the equipment, we will begin its installation and commissioning. The operators will study the machine controls, and we will begin working. We also expect the next batch of machines to be delivered in the near future,” Abaev said.

He noted that the Chinese partners are providing the enterprise with all possible assistance in installation and commissioning.

"We communicate with them via video link, in addition, their specialists will come to us to carry out commissioning work. This interaction allows us to quickly train the staff and begin full-fledged operation of the plant.

We are confident that by the established deadlines we will be able to increase productivity to the planned parameters," he has noted.

Abaev has emphasized that the enterprise has a lot of work, plans are already scheduled for several years in advance.

According to the specialist, the personnel of the enterprise allow us to count on serious success.

He has also noted the high quality of the manufactured products.

"The raw materials in our Republic are of high quality. This also applies to various types of marble and quartz diorite - a rare finishing material. With such raw materials, I have no doubt in the success of the enterprise," he said.

The enterprise is expecting deliveries of another 18 machines.

Earlier, the plant had already installed the equipment made in Italy and Germany.

As noted by the CEO of the stone mining and processing company "Impulse-A" Elbrus Kochiev, a total of 34 machines will be installed at the plant.

"But this number is not final. We plan to continue purchasing additional equipment. Customers give us an idea of their needs, and different machines are needed for different works.

For example, to create complex architectural forms, we will need waterjet cutting, which we also intend to purchase," Kochiev said.

According to him, with the installation of new equipment, the plant will be able to employ more workers.

"The quarry was producing more products than our equipment could be processing, so we did not hire additional employees.

However, with the installation of new machines, in the spring we will be able to put each quarry on a 24-hour mode of operation, and up to 25 people will be involved in each of them, "he has noted.

Kochiev has added that the company will organize training for its employees at the plant, inviting the necessary specialists to the Republic.

According to him, the work has been established with the company's partners, various specialists who are always in touch and, if necessary, will help with setting up the machines.

Orders for the plant's products come not only from Russian cities, but also from foreign countries.

According to the CEO, the demand for the South Ossetian stone is very high.

The plant already supplies its products to other cities, but not in large volumes yet.

"We are accepting small orders for now, since the company is not working at full capacity. For example, we were decorating a fountain for a park complex in the city of Beslan.

Clients from Grozny, Makhachkala, Moscow and other cities are interested in our raw materials. In addition, we already have a large distributor with a large order, who is waiting for the opening of the plant," he has emphasized.

A lot of orders come from residents of the Republic.

According to Kochiev, window sills, tabletops and coffee tables are most often chosen.

The plant also manufactures items for funeral services, but orders for them come mainly from the North Caucasian republics.

“There are deposits of light granite, galena, marbled limestone in the North Caucasus, but there is practically no gabbro-diorite, which we mine.

And they can be used to make countertops, complex architectural forms, window sills, and what is noteworthy it is stronger than marbled limestone,” Kochiev has noted.

He has also emphasized that, according to experts, the South Ossetian marble is almost identical to the Italian marble Rosso Levanto.

The stone deposits are located in the Tskhinval, Znaur and Dzau districts of the Republic, and only the last one has an active quarry.

In the rest, it is necessary to carry out stripping rock work.

Kochiev has noted that the stone reserves in South Ossetia will last for centuries.

The plant intends to reach large capacities in early spring.

On March 1st, the official opening of the Impuls-A enterprise "Alanian Stone" will take place - a modern plant for manufacturing of products from unique gray-green gabbro-diorite, gabbro-diabase and pink marble.
