The delegation of the South Ossetian Parliament, which arrived to participate in the international observation of the preparation and holding of the presidential elections in Abkhazia, has met with Speaker of the People's Assembly - the Parliament of the Republic Lasha Ashuba. This was reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Parliament.
Opening the meeting, Speaker Lasha Ashuba welcomed the guests on behalf of the Abkhaz Parliament and thanked them for coming to support the fraternal people in such a significant political event for the republic.
The Speaker conveyed his best wishes to his colleague - Chairman of the RSO Parliament Alan Margiev.
"The participation of delegations of our republics in electoral processes is one of the traditional areas of inter-parliamentary cooperation. I express confidence in the further development of friendly relations in all areas,” Lasha Ashuba said.
In turn, the South Ossetian colleagues thanked for the warm welcome and the organization of their participation in the upcoming elections as international observers.
On behalf of Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Margiev, they conveyed to Lasha Ashuba the invitation to visit the Republic at any time convenient for him.
The meeting participants also discussed a number of topical issues in bilateral relations.
