South Ossetia has no doubts that the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia want to do everything possible to keep the border between South Ossetia and Georgia calm. On Wednesday Presidential Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev held a video conference with the OSCE co-chair at the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, Annika Söder.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and the head of the US delegation to the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, Andrew Shofer, discussed the regional agenda at their meeting on Tuesday, including interaction in the format of the Geneva Discussions.

"An interested exchange of views took place on topical topics of the regional agenda with an emphasis on interaction in the format of the Geneva discussions," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The meeting was held at the request of the American side.
