On Wednesday Presidential Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev held a video conference with the OSCE co-chair at the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, Annika Söder.
As reported by the press service of the plenipotentiary mission, during the conversation they discussed issues related to the preparation for the next round of Geneva discussions.
“The importance of finding the ways to intensify the work on the main task of the discussions - the preparation of a document on the non-use of force was noted. The need to maintain stability in the areas adjacent to the state border was reiterated, and in this regard, the work of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was positively assessed Other issues were also discussed, including clarification of the fate of the missing residents of South Ossetia, "- the mission said.
It was added that the conversation was attended by Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia, the head of the South Ossetian delegation in the IPRM format Yegor Kochiev and representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marina Ualyty.
The next round of the Geneva Discussions is scheduled for October 12-13.
