The South Ossetian boxer Alim Gabaraev, who won silver at the European Championship, is returning from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports reports.

The athlete was competing as part of the Russian national team.

"Alim had three fights in the 90 kg weight class with two confident victories. In the third fight, he lost to the Pole Jakub Voynich," the Committee has noted.

The competition was being held from August 1 to 11 in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The South Ossetian athletes took eight awards from the Adygea “Heroes Cup” championship in all-style and koshiki karate dedicated to the special military operation, the coach Alan Gabatov told IA “Res”.

According to him, the highest awards were taken by Vladimir Kabisov, who competed in Koshiki karate and finished the fight with a knockout, Lera Kudukhova in all-style karate and Oleg Dzhioev in Koshiki karate.

The Ossetian Greco-Roman wrestlers Zaur Beslekoev and Alan Totrov were included in the Russian national team for the European Championship among athletes under 20 years of age, which started in Novi Sad (Serbia).

Ossetian athlete Aldat Kesaev has risen to the highest step of the podium at the European Freestyle Wrestling Championship U-17, which is taking place in Novi Sad (Serbia). This is reported by the press service of Ministry of Sports of North Ossetia.

In the final of the weight class up to 80 kg, the Ossetian wrestler defeated Nikoloz Maisuradze from Georgia with a score of 7:4.

Aldat Kesaev is representing the Soslan Andiev freestyle wrestling school and the Taymazov Brothers Club. The athlete is trained by Marik Byazrov and Yuri Slanov.
