An evening of the Ossetian-Italian friendship was held in the Italian city of Gradara, organized by the representative office of the South Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Italy and the Italy-South Ossetia-Alania friendship Association, the press service of the Republic's Foreign Ministry reports.

Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held in a remote-in-person format.

At the beginning of the event, the national anthems of South Ossetia and Italy were performed.

On October 18, the largest musical theater in Russia, the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater, will host a gala concert of the opera singer, soloist of the Novosibirsk Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of South and North Ossetia, laureate of the international competitions Veronika Dzhioeva. During the day, 64 tests on COVID-19 have been conducted in South Ossetia, 10 of them showed a positive result, the Republic's chief sanitary doctor Marina Kochieva told IA "Res" on Tuesday.

"Another 10 citizens have been confirmed with coronavirus, just 62 since the day the restrictions on the border with the Russian Federation were lifted (September 15)," she said.

According to Kochieva, over the entire period of the pandemic on the morning of October 13, 139 cases of coronavirus were registered in the Republic.
