As of December 17, 2090, cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Republic since September of this year, a total of 12,307 tests were carried out in the PCR laboratory.

As of the morning of December 17, 59 patients are being treated in the "red zones" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center (RMMC) of South Ossetia, Eleonora Dzhioeva, the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic, told IA "RES ".

“Today 31 patients are being treated in the infectious building of the RMMC, 28 in the building of the children's hospital. There is one patient in the intensive care unit, and another patient is on non-invasive mechanical ventilation,” the doctor said.
