The Russian World Chess Championship will be held in South Ossetia for the first time
The first Russian World Chess Championship in the history of the Republic will be held in South Ossetia, President of the Chess Federation of the Republic Georgy Shavlokhov has announced at the press conference in Tskhinval.
“In September we are planning to hold the largest chess tournament ever held in South Ossetia. This will be a significant event for us. The sporting event will bring together participants from Russia, Belarus, Abkhazia, Transnistria and several other friendly countries,” Shavlokhov said.
